The ownership and management of 901 Fifth Avenue have taken groundbreaking  steps in creating an environmentally friendly and efficient environment for its tenants and visitors.  For the past three years, ownership has focused on achieving the coveted LEED EB Silver designation. It is very rare for an existing multi-tenant building to achieve this designation, as the standards are stringent and carefully reviewed.  The ownership group at 901 Fifth Avenue shows its commitment to sustainability in many ways. Through purchasing practices we use only environmentally friendly janitorial products and upgraded to sustainable common area rest room equipment.  We exceed indoor air quality standards by offering tenants outside air and demanding our contractors use clean construction practices and specifications. The building promotes alternative transportation by providing bicycle racks and under-construction  on-site shower facilities using motion and timer devices.  We also offer tenants Zipcars if they bike or carpool to work to encourage those activities.
